Buch-Beitrag – eine Erinnerung, ein Bild, ein Witz, eine Geschichte?

Am 12. Juli 2027 feiert guerillaclassics sein zehnjähriges Jubiläum! Wir haben das Glück als Team gemeinsam mit im Prozess prägenden Intellektuellen, Künstler*innen, Politiker*innen und Kreativen ein Buch dafür zu verfassen, das sich mit den aus den Projekten entstandenen Reflexionsräumen befasst. Das Buch soll zurück und nach vorne schauen.

Es gibt auch Raum für Witz, Erinnerung und Bilder. Wir freuen uns über die Zusendung von erlebten Geschichten oder visuellem Material, das wir unserem Lektoren vom Verlag als Teil der Lebendigkeit der Wege von guerillaclassics vorlegen werden.

Konzert-Walk im Seefeld mit Ensemble le Quintet
 
Der Klanggärtner Andres Bosshard lebt und hört im Zürcher Seefeld. Er nimmt uns mit auf seinen täglichen Spaziergang durch das „Töbeli“ entlang des Wildbachs, bis dieser zum Hornbach wird und nach dem überqueren mehrerer belebter Stadtstrassen in den Zürisee mündet. Mit dabei: Eine Intervention des Ensembles Le Quintet, das mit den Klängen der Natur interagieren wird. 

Wir erfahren, wie wir uns durch unser Hören aktiv mit unserer alltäglichen Umgebung auseinandersetzen können. Wir lernen nicht nur mit unserer Klanglandschaft zu interagieren, sondern auch unser eigenes Verhalten zu verändern, um einen neuen Stadtklang zu schaffen.

guerilla-action am See
 
Auf Auftrag der Swiss-Indian Chamber of Commerce hin hat Hiromi Gut eine künstlerische Intervention für das 40-jährige Jubiläum der Kammer am 1. Juli 2025 konzipiert. Drei international bekannte Stars tanzen klassisch indisch, mal zu HipHop, dann zu Tabla und anderen Musikgenres. Nach dem Auftritt im festlichen Rahmen wird die Performance auf der Rentenwiese am See öffentlich wiederholt.

Workshop mit Comic-Zeichner Sixte Kakinda

Fast jeden Mittwochnachmittag seit Jahresbeginn trifft sich das Team von guerillaclassics im Kaffee „Gleis“ in Zürich. Gemeinsam mit „Welcome to School“ – der Schule für junge Geflüchtete – diskutieren wir dort über unterschiedliche Kulturbegriffe, spielen Spiele und denken uns gemeinsam mögliche künftige künstlerische Projekte, Konzerte oder Festival-Höhepunkte für das free flow festival aus. 
In den Diskussionen wurde klar, dass ein grosses Interesse besteht, Künstler*innen aus dem guerillaclassics Network Workshops im Rahmen des Schulprogramms geben zu lassen, die für die Schüler*innen und die Öffentlichkeit gleichzeitig zugänglich sind. Die Disziplinen visuelle Kunst, Musik, DJ Handwerk, Rap und Poesie sowie Tanz wurden gewünscht.
Der erste Workshop findet bereits vor den Sommerferien statt und zwar mit dem aus der Demokratischen Republik Kongo stammenden Künstler Sixte Kakinda. Er wird einen Workshop mit Fokus aufs Comics-Zeichnen geben. Dr. Sixte Kakinda ist Absolvent der Tokyo University of the Arts und aktuell in Residenz im Atelier Mondial über Pro Helvetia in Basel.

River Tones Concert - Glossar-Walk mit dem Verein "AIA - Awareness in Art"
 
Ein Geh-Ritual zur Einstimmung der Ohren auf die verschiedenen Frequenzen von Wasser, Vögeln und Lebensräumen. Melo Chua (Flöte) und Constanza Pellicci (Stimme) spielen kleine improvisierte Stücke, in denen sie Beziehungen zur Klanglandschaft herstellen, während Andres Bosshard die Teilnehmenden zu einer verkörperten Art des tiefen Hörens anleitet. Es ist eine Einladung, sich der verborgenen Musikalität in unserer alltäglichen Umgebung bewusster zu werden, damit wir sensibler für unsere Anwesenheit im weiteren Ökosystem werden können.
Die Aufführung ist Teil des Projekts River Landscapes: A New Glossary. Das transdisziplinäre Projekt erforscht Schweizer Flüsse als ökologische und kulturelle Landschaften. Im Rahmen von Workshops, Feldforschung und kollektiver Reflexion erstellen die Teilnehmer gemeinsam Glossareinträge, die künstlerisches, wissenschaftliches und lokales Wissen miteinander verweben. Das Glossar, das in einem Open-Source-Format veröffentlicht wird, enthält Sprache, Bilder, Klänge und Geschichten, die Flüsse nicht als kontrollierbare Ressourcen, sondern als lebendige Ökosysteme begreifen, die mehr sind als der Mensch. Das Projekt wird im Jahr 2026 mit einer öffentlichen Präsentationsreihe auf einem Boot auf der Limmat abgeschlossen.

Workshop Spots open – Claron McFadden
 
Im Rahmen der musikalischen Recherche um das Thema Oper im Kontext von guerillaclassics wird Claron McFadden Ende August einen Workshop in Zürich geben. Die international gefeierte Opernsängerin hat eine Methode entwickelt, in der – inspiriert von natürlichen Kollektiven wie Vogelschwärmen – die Kraft des Gruppenbewusstseins und gleichzeitig die individuelle Kreativität gefördert wird. Der Fokus liegt darauf, die Stimme nicht als traditionelles Musikinstrument, sondern als Werkzeug für intuitiven Ausdruck zu nutzen. Die Teilnehmer*innen werden ermutigt, ihre Komfortzone zu verlassen und sich an sowohl spontanen wie auch strukturierten Gruppenimprovisationen zu beteiligen. Ziel ist es, Verbundenheit, Kreativität und ein Gefühl von „Schwarmintelligenz“ aufzubauen – individuelle Stimmen, die im Einklang mit der Gruppe agieren.

Book contribution - a memory, a picture, a joke, a story?

On July 12, 2027, guerillaclassics celebrates its tenth anniversary! Ass a team, we are fortunate to be working with intellectuals, artists, politicians, and creatives who played an influential role in the guerillaclassics process to write a book that explores the spaces for reflection that emerged from the projects. The book is intended to look back and forward.

There is room for humor, memories and images.
We look forward to receiving your stories or visual material of the last years, which we will submit to our editor at the publishing house as part of the liveliness of guerillaclassics' paths.

Concert walk in Seefeld with Ensemble le Quintet
 
Sound gardener Andres Bosshard lives and listens in Zurich's Seefeld district. He takes us on his daily walk through the “Töbeli” along the Wildbach stream until it becomes the Hornbach and flows into Lake Zurich after crossing several busy city streets. Included: an intervention by the ensemble Le Quintet, which will interact with the sounds of nature. 

We will learn how we can actively engage with our everyday environment through our hearing. We will not only learn how to interact with our soundscape, but also how to change our own behavior to create a new urban sound.

The Swiss-Indian Chamber of Commerce commissioned Hiromi Gut to create an artistic intervention for the chamber's 40th anniversary on July 1, 2025. Three internationally renowned stars will perform classical Indian dance, sometimes to hip-hop, then to tabla and other musical genres. After the performance in a festive setting, the performance will be repeated in public on the Rentenwiese by the lake.

Workshop with artist Sixte Kakinda

Almost every Wednesday afternoon since the beginning of the year, the guerillaclassics team has been meeting at the “Gleis” café in Zurich. Together with “Welcome to School” - the school for young refugees - we discuss different cultural concepts, play games and come up with possible future artistic projects, concerts or festival highlights for the free flow festival. 
During the discussions, it became clear that there is great interest in artists from the guerillaclassics network giving workshops as part of the school program that are open to students and the public at the same time. In terms of disciplines, visual art, music, DJ crafts, rap and poetry as well as dance were requested.
The first workshop will take place before the summer vacation with Sixte Kakinda, an artist from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He will be giving a workshop focusing on comic drawing. Dr. Sixte Kakinda is a graduate of the Tokyo University of the Arts and is currently in residence at Atelier Mondial via Pro Helvetia in Basel.

River Tones Concert - glossary walk with the association "AIA - Awareness in Art"

A walking ritual in attuning one‘s ears to the different frequencies of water, birds, and livingscapes. Melo Chua (flute) and Constanza Pellicci (voice) perform small improvised pieces composing relationships with the soundscape, as Andres Bosshard guides participants towards an embodied way of deep listening. It is an invitation to become more aware of the hidden musicalities in our everyday environments, that we might become more sensitive to our presences in the wider ecosystem.
The performance ist part of the project River Landscapes: A New Glossary. The transdisciplinary project explores Swiss rivers as ecological and cultural landscapes. Through workshops, fieldwork, and collective reflection, participants co-create glossary entries that weave together artistic, scientific, and local knowledge. The glossary—published as an open-source format—includes language, images, sounds, and stories that reimagine rivers not as controllable resources, but as vibrant, more-than-human ecosystems. The project will culminate in a public presentation series on a boat along the Limmat in 2026.

Workshop Spots open - Claron McFadden
 
As part of the musical research on the subject of opera in the context of guerillaclassics, Claron McFadden will be giving a workshop in Zurich at the end of August. The internationally acclaimed opera singer has developed a method inspired by natural collectives such as flocks of birds to promote the power of group consciousness and individual creativity at the same time. The focus is on using the voice not as a traditional musical instrument, but as a tool for intuitive expression. Participants are encouraged to leave their comfort zone and engage in both spontaneous and structured group improvisations. The aim is to build connection, creativity and a sense of ‘swarm intelligence’ - individual voices acting in harmony with the group.
